The Debut Duplex was the first Custom by Kuntz home renovation! With a main floor bathroom renovation including a walk-in shower, custom wood walls and floating shelves, and a full-size deck reconstruction, this 1880’s duplex became a desirable rental property in the heart of the West 7th neighborhood of Saint Paul.

The Backyard Oasis was all about the outdoors! From a gardener’s paradise, equipped with poured concrete planter boxes, trellis fences, garden counters, and over 150 ft of newly-constructed fence, to a modern transformation inside, complete with concrete countertops, floating custom wood shelves, white washed brick fireplace walls, and 2 new bathrooms, this home felt natural and green both inside and out!

The Pandemic Project was appropriately named because the renovation began alongside Covid-19. An up-down duplex, Matt and Juli were seeing double throughout this project: 2 open-concept kitchens, 2 three-season porch remodels, 2 custom bathroom renovations with built-in shower shelves, and 2 very happy sets of tenants who moved in once the renovation was complete!

The Brick House was a total home transformation. Converting from a duplex to a single-family home, Matt and Juli constructed 2 additions adding a total of 650 square feet to the property, installed all new mechanicals and completed a full structural reframe. Plus, they incorporated a variety of custom design highlights, including interior brick accent walls, floor-to-ceiling built-in bookshelves, and over 100 square feet of kitchen countertops–by the end of the project, the Brick House was only recognizable by its beautiful red brick exterior!

With sweeping catalpa trees and wild raspberries galore, the Urban Cottage was a tiny house in the middle of Saint Paul that felt like it was located in the northwoods. With small touches like cabinet paint, roll-on epoxy, and fun vinyl tile floors, alongside larger projects like adding a half bathroom upstairs, the Urban Cottage got a glow-up on a budget!

The newest Custom by Kuntz venture, the Summit-Hill Victorian will be our biggest transformation yet. With a vision of restoring its original beauty and finishing the basement and 3rd level attic, this home will stun with over 5000 square feet of modern amenities infused with 19th century charm!
